Your pay, deductions and debts never leave your browser. This page lists everything the site does record, in full.
What the calculator does with your numbers
All arithmetic runs in your browser. The amounts you type are not sent to our server or to anyone else. When you press “Share this result”, the inputs are written into the part of the address after the #; browsers do not send that part to the server, so a shared link carries your scenario without it ever reaching a log.
Anonymous page events
Each page sends small events to /e on this same site: that a page was viewed, that the calculator was used or finished, which state was selected, whether a result was shared, whether someone scrolled most of the way down, and when someone follows a link to a source. Each event stores:
- the time and date, and the page path (no query string or fragment);
- the event name and a short label such as a state abbreviation;
- a random identifier created for that one page load, which is not stored on your device and links nothing across visits;
- the host name of the referring site, if any — not the full address;
- your country as reported by our hosting provider, and whether the screen was phone- or desktop-sized.
We do not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, cookies or any identifier that follows you. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking scripts from other companies, and the pages make no requests to third-party servers. Visits from automated clients are discarded before they are stored.
Corrections you send
The corrections form stores what you choose to send: the kind of problem, the page, your message and an optional reply address. It does not store your IP address or browser details. We use the reply address only to answer that report.
Where it is kept
Events and corrections are stored in a database run by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which serves the site. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes connection data in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse; that processing is governed by its own policies and is not used by us to identify visitors.
Retention and your choices
Event records cannot be tied to a person, so there is nothing to look up or delete for an individual. If you sent a correction and want it removed, send a second report through the form quoting the page and roughly when you wrote, and we will delete it.
Children
The site is intended for adults dealing with their own earnings and is not directed at children.
